Renting Policy
Everything you need to know about renting a Charge Ghar power bank — from fees to the return process. Simple, transparent, and fair.

1Rental Process

Find a Station
Open the Charge Ghar app and use the live map to locate the nearest available charging station with power banks available.

Scan the QR Code
Tap "Rent" in the app, then use your camera to scan the QR code on the station. Ensure your account has sufficient wallet balance.

Collect Your Power Bank
Once the QR is scanned, the designated slot opens and your power bank is released. Your rental timer begins immediately.

Charge Your Device
Use the built-in cables (USB-C, Lightning, Micro-USB) to charge your device. The power bank is portable — take it anywhere.

Return to Any Station
Insert the power bank into any available slot at any Charge Ghar station. The slot LED turns green to confirm return. Check app for "Rental Ended" notification.
2Fees & Charges
Our pricing is transparent and usage-based. You only pay for the time the power bank is in your possession.

💡 Note: Actual fee amounts are displayed clearly in the app before you confirm your rental. Charges are auto-deducted from your Charge Ghar wallet.
3Overdue & Non-Return Policy
- A power bank is considered Overdue after [X] hours of continuous rental without return.
- You will receive push notifications reminding you to return the power bank before it becomes overdue.
- Overdue fees accumulate on top of regular rental fees until the power bank is returned.
- If not returned within [X] days, the power bank is marked as Lost.
- A "Lost" penalty of NPR [Penalty Amount] will be charged immediately upon marking as Lost.
- The security deposit will be forfeited in cases of non-return.
- Accounts with unresolved Lost charges will be suspended until the penalty is paid.
- Returning a power bank after it is marked Lost may result in partial penalty refund at Charge Ghar's discretion.
4Returning the Power Bank
- Power banks can be returned to any available slot at any Charge Ghar station across Nepal.
- Insert the power bank firmly into the slot until it clicks into place.
- The slot LED indicator should turn 🟢 Green to confirm a successful return.
- You will receive an in-app notification confirming "Rental Ended" with your final bill summary.
- If the station does not accept the return (slot full or technical error), try another slot or a nearby station using the app.
- Do not leave the power bank unattended without completing the digital return process in the app.
- Security deposit (if applicable) will be refunded to your wallet within 24 hours of confirmed return.
5Power Bank Care
- Handle the power bank with care. Avoid dropping, getting it wet, or exposing it to extreme temperatures.
- Do not use power banks that appear physically damaged. Report immediately through the app's Help section.
- Do not attempt to open, disassemble, or modify the power bank.
- Intentional damage will result in full replacement cost being charged to your account.
6Cancellation
- Once a power bank has been released from the station, the rental cannot be cancelled.
- To end your rental, return the power bank to any Charge Ghar station.
- If you accidentally triggered a rental due to a technical error, contact support within 5 minutes with a screenshot.
